Members of the New South Wales police force have admitted to receiving bribes of AS$1000 or more from drug dealers. Despite the writing of a police anti-corruption plan for Manly in northern Sydney, National Crime Authority's retired general manager Peter Lamb believes that the Australian Police Force will always have to live with a certain amount of corruption.

Four Cabramatta police officers uncovered police corruption, and this has led to a parliamentary enquiry.
