YBM Magnex International Inc., an industrial magnet manufacturer based in Newtown, PA, has witnessed the resignation of David Peterson from the firm's board. Peterson, a former Ontario premier, has been succeeded by Igor Fisherman, who has voluntarily assented to a suspension from his COO position. YBM Magnex stated that it is currently in the process of choosing candidates for the COO job as well as positions for president and CFO for the Eastern European operations of its United Trade Ltd. subsidiary.

Naya plans to sell stock in public offering

Naya Inc., a manufacturer of bottled water headquartered in Laval, Quebec, intends to conduct an initial as well as secondary public offering of company stock. The firm plans to offer 6.8 million shares of Class A of its subordinate voting stock for C$12 to $14 apiece. The company hopes to use the proceeds of the offering to finance payment of its corporate debt as well as its efforts to expand existing operations. Naya Inc. generated sales of C$121.3 million and profits amounting to C$8.2 million.

IPO could net holders $765-million: insurer
Article Abstract:
Industrial-Alliance Life Insurance Co, a Sillery, Quebec-based insurer, can earn C$510 million to C$765 million if it decides to go public, according to estimates by its financial adviser Nesbitt Burns Inc. The insurer informed its 694,830 policy holders that it will issue 35 million shares worth an estimated C$14.55 to C$21.85 each. In exchange for giving up their voting control of the firm, the minimum amount each policy holder can receive is five shares or cash of equal value.
