Bovar Inc has had two accidents at its hazardous-waste incinerating plant near Swan Hills and faces an Alberta Environmental Appeals Board hearing on polychlorinated biphenyl emissions. Opponents maintain the plant is a threat to human and animal health.

The single-minded astronaut: Canada's Chris Hadfield prepares to meet the Russians at the Mir station
Article Abstract:
Hadfield, who grew up on a farm, has wanted to be an astronaut since age nine. He worked hard, finally making his dream a reality, and is one of the space shuttle Atlantis crew members. Hadfield will be the fourth Canadian to travel into space.
