Boris Yeltsin surprised the Group of 7 leaders at the Jun 1992 economic summit in Munich, Germany, when he offered to trade state-owned enterprises for part of Russia's external debt. Yeltsin's willingness to resolve Russia's economic crisis was in contrast to western leaders lack of progress on their problems.

Unsavory secrets: Ottawa police find a cache of horrifying photos
Article Abstract:
Police removed hundreds of photos of naked and bound boys from the Ottawa home of Owen Dulmage, a 75-year-old pensioner who had been convicted in 1951 of kidnapping and torturing a 13-year old boy. Police believe Dulmage may have kidnapped and tortured many boys over a 40-year period.
