Duelling Banjo
Article Abstract:
Andrew Barton 'Banjo' Paterson recorded the transition of Australians from country to the cities by collecting and publishing the old bush songs treasured by generations of Australians in a book called, 'Old Bush Songs Composed and Sung in the Bushranging, Digging and Overlanding Days'. Paterson's contemporary Henry Lawson took up a contrarian position about bush and both duelled by writing against each other's viewpoint.

Article Abstract:
Writers of adult fiction are treated with more respect than writers of children's books, even though writing for children is more difficult. Writing for children is a more precise art and requires more talent as it is imprinted in the heart of the reader forever and influences them in their future.
