Eaton's Stephen takes on another problem child

Paper maker Repap Enterprises Corp Inc has named Hap Stephen as its new chairman. Stephen will replace Steven Berg, who was ousted by dissident shareholders led by TD Asset Management Inc. A slate of seven directors from the dissident group was elected by Repap shareholders on Aug 16, 1999. Stephen, who joined the Repap board as a director in June 1999, is also the chief financial office, executive vice-president and a director in financially troubled retailer T Eaton Co Ltd.

The real lobster problem
Article Abstract:
In spite of a conservation campaign, the volume of lobsters caught in Malpeque Bay, Canada, has been noted to have declined steadily during the last few years and no one knows exactly why. The fishers are blaming poachers but their harvest hardly accounts for the steep decline.
