Endangered Species Act: Reform initiatives
Article Abstract:
The House reform bill is expected to incorporate 2004 year's proposal to limit the ability of the US federal agencies to designate critical habitat for listed species. However many critics feel that such a change would weaken the law's enforcement power, making it harder to conserve habitat and bring back struggling species.
