Evading the issue
Article Abstract:
Tax evasion is easily adopted when tax customers try in earnest to reduce their taxable income. Evasion usually occurs through a non-declaration of income or through complex schemes that turn out to be a breach of law. The difference is simplified when one considers that tax avoidance, which is legal, involves using tax law as a mean of reducing tax obligations. Tax evasion on the other hand involves using unlawful means to evade paying taxes.
