Evenflo offers trade for wheeled walkers
Article Abstract:
Evenflo, in accordance with the National Safe Kids Campaign, is offering to exchange one of its new Exersaucer walker for every wheeled walker brought in by parents all over the US on Sep. 17, 1998. Wheeled walkers have been the subject of a call for a total ban because they are seen as unsafe devices for children, a move that has prompted manufacturers to offer new designs for the product. However, Evenflo's Exersaucer, a stationary device, is still seen by consumer advocates and some doctors as a source of child care risks.
