Fed-up Murdoch may buy Fox Family
Article Abstract:
News Corp could buy out Fox Family Channel CEO Haim Saban's 50.5% stake in the struggling cable television network for up to $1.8 billion. News chairman Rupert Murdoch is reportedly impatient over the declining ratings of the channel, which lost over a third of its viewers since Aug 1999. For the nine months ended Mar 1999, the network's net losses increased almost 228% to $44.5 million.
