Fairmont Hotels hurt by SARS

William Fatt, the chief executive officer of Fairmont Hotels and Resorts Inc., said the hotel chain may be forced to lay off employees due to a falloff in sales due to the SARS outbreak in Toronto, Ontario. Mr. Fatt said the chain's flagship hotel, the Royal York, is scheduled for cutbacks.
