Actor-director Bruce Vavrina is among those who have been shortchanged by the bias favoring theater groups from Quebec in Foreign Affairs arts funding in Canada. In 1996 approximately 40% of performing arts grants went to projects based in Quebec.

Mind games with William Gibson

Gibson wrote 'Neuromancer, ' the novel in which the word, 'cyberspace' was coined. Gibson's science fiction is a blend of existentialism, satire and crime narrative. Gibson also wrote 'Johnny Mnemonic,' which is being made into a film.
