Article Abstract:

Special prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald's indictment of I. Lewis Libby, the vice-president's right-hand man, and withdrawal of Harriet Miers nomination have added to the host of problems facing the Bush administration. Vice president Cheney's influence that began to wane from the second term seems to have effectively come to an end as Fitzgerald investigation gained momentum.
