Bombardier Inc has shown an ability to buy troubled companies cheaply. Using that strategy, Bombardier has acquired firms that include Canadair, Short Bros PLC, and Learjet Inc. Bombardier is following that same strategy as it tries to buy De Havilland Aircraft from Boeing of Canada Ltd.
