Goldfingers get ready

Article Abstract:

Christie's auction house in London is selling movie memorabilia with very high pre-sale estimates. A sale of posters is raising expectations of high prices. Costume accessories, those used by Sean Connery especially, and cars from Ian Fleming's secret agent films are expected to attract great interest. Bond novels in good condition are also bringing high prices, especially with author signatures. Some costumes and textiles of the 1960s and 1970s are to be featured at another sales, and items with designer labels are expected to bring large amounts.

Movers and cruisers

Article Abstract:

A 1925 Bentley and a sedan chair build in London in the late 18th century for King George III are featured as collectable transportation vehicles. The sedan chair is an enclosed upholstered compartment carried on four poles by four chair carriers. Imitations appear in the 1920s. The Bentleys of the 1920s were some of the most desirable sport automobiles built. Bentley was acquired by Rolls Royce in the 1930s.

Article Abstract:

Investments in the arts can bring more returns than gold. There is an interest in 20th-century glass designs and they are likely to bring tremendous profits for the investor. For collectors, medallions provide great investment opportunities. Some medallions can offer as much as 300% return because of their historical value. Other items such as ancient coins also provide profitable returns.
