McNamara, one of the prime architects of the Vietnam War, said he harbored doubts about the War as early as 1963, but did not disclose these doubts until the publication of his 1995 book: 'In Retrospect: The Tragedy and Lessons of Vietnam.' His admission has provoked anger in the US.
