There are approximately 900 Canadians living in Russia in 1993. Four of them talked about what brought them to Russia and how they are adjusting to the Russian way of life. A chef, a construction industry entrepreneur, a journalist and a business woman are interviewed.

Nuclear time bombs

The nuclear power plants and reactors built by the Soviet Union were structurally flawed. The Group of 7 will meet in July 1992 to discuss a nuclear aid package of up to $23 billion to make the reactors in Eastern Europe and the former country safer.

Many Russians still remember the country's narrow loss to Canada in what they called the 1972 Super Series. The eight-game Canada Cup was the first competition between Canada and Russia. Russian player Aleksandr Ragulin recalls the series.
