Matthew McConaughey was on his way to law school when he decided to go to film school to become a director. A chance meeting with a casting director led to a small role in 'Dazed and Confused', and soon he was starring in 'A Time To Kill'. McConaughey cites his parents as the major influences in his life, and says that his father's death in 1992 catalyzed his true entrance into adulthood. McConaughey stars in Ron Howard's new movie, 'EDtv'.
