Journey from the centre of the earth
Article Abstract:
When a group of contractors drilled for oil in solid rock in the remote forests of central Sweden, they discovered traces of living organisms at the bottom of the seven-kilometre-deep borehole. Similar findings in parts of Europe and America confirmed the existence of thermophiles living in extemely adverse conditions. Scientists are, once again, searching for signs of extra-terrestrial life, armed with the knowledge that organisms can survive in the conditions seen on planets such as Mars.

The evil within us all
Article Abstract:
Modern science ascribes good and evil in human behavior to psychological, neurological and genetic factors. In Oxford zoologist Richard Dawkins' theory of the selfish gene, behaviors that contribute to the survival of the organism will be passed down, whether they are moral or not. In the past, people struggled to explain evil behavior, but in this new theory, altruistic behavior is difficult to explain.
