IPS revenue triples, but year ends in red
Article Abstract:
Image Processing Systems Inc. (IPS) of Markham, Omtario, has tripled its revenue to C$31.8 million for fiscal year 1998. However, its acquisition of Tisma Machinery Corp. of Chicago, IL, has sent its profits down. The company's 1998 revenue results included C$13.6 million in revenue from Tisma, which makes packaging systems that complements IPS's inspection systems. IPS lost C$12.2 million, or 76 cents a share in the year ended Mar. 31, 1998. Most of the losses came from a C$7.9 million good-will write-down related to the Tisma acquisition.
