Internet hideaway
Article Abstract:
Zero-Knowledge Systems Inc is beta testing a software that allows Web surfers to cover up their trails. The Freedom software is intended for Internet users who are wary of being spied upon by on-line data collectors. The program works by employing pseudonyms to overlay Internet usage, such as e-mail, surfing, chatting and newsgroup postings. Four levels of encryption ensure that the user's online activities remain anonymous, even to the company.
