Jobless rate could fall below 6%, report says

A new report from Tempe, Az.-based Nesbitt Burns Inc. predicts that Canada's unemployment rate may decline below 6% in 2000. The report, which noted that the country's unemployment rate has not fallen below 6% since 1974, contradicts other forecasts that predict the rate will stay between 6.5% and 7% in 2000.
