Kaiser Permanente sets up plan for cleaner bill of health

Kaiser Permanente, a nonprofit health maintenance organization with membership 8.6 million is planning to streamline its financial spending and wants to attract more customers for its managed care services. The decision to cut spending is made after incurring losses worth $554 mil during the last two years. The plan includes the sale of divisions and the stalling of investments worth $900 mil. The health provider's problems is also worsened by federal investigations on possible state law violations in New York.
