Revenue told to get out of gambling

The management of shopping center and residential property developer Revenue Properties Ltd of Toronto has asked its shareholders to vote against the proposal to either sell or spin off its gambling operations. Revenue CEO Paul Campbell that its gambling operations accounted for 8% of the cash flow although the business is only 4% if its C$1.3-billion assets. Acktion Corp, which owns 19% of Revenue, has earlier proposed the sale of spin off of the company's gambling operations, saying that the company should focus on its real estate business.

ATS shares tumble 28% on lower revenue forecast
Article Abstract:
ATS Automation Tooling Systems Inc has announced it is expecting a sharp decline in revenue from an unidentified major customer, which analysts believe is Intel. ATS signed a three-year, C$500-million contract with the unnamed client in 1997. The company said that revenue from the contract will attain its C$100-million target in the year ending Mar 21, 1999. However, sales from that contract will be significantly lower on FY2000.
