Grant, who holds a master's degree from the London School of Economics, serves as managing director of Yankee Group in Canada Inc and SeaBoard Research Inc, which both operate under SeaBoard Group. He established SeaBoard in 1980 after working for several years at Manitoba Telephone System , Miltel Corp, Skyswitch Inc and Microtel Inc.

Canadian Artic Holidays Inc. owners Richard Weber and Josee Auclair are planning to build a lodge complex that can function as a home base for trips. According to their 150-page business plan, the lodge will have 24 guestrooms and will need an outlay of around C$750,000. Weber and Auclair are currently scouting for another place to build the lodge after elders in Baffin Island turned down their plan to build in the area.
