Two old names of publishing
Article Abstract:
A married couple in Australia who began a book publishing company have roots in Hungary and have named the company after their ancestors. The families of Andras Berkes and Veronica Sumegi changed their names from Brandl and Schlesinger, respectively, to hide their Jewish heritage after World War II. Sumegi met Berkes on a trip to Hungary and the two later began a publishing company. The parents of Sumegi and Berkes had been friends in Hungary.
