Language law foils Bell Advantage
Article Abstract:
The Office de la langue francaise of the Quebec government has prohibited Bell Canada and its Advantage Internet Business Network that it may not distribute software which offers only English versions. Advantage had intended to offer an English version of Netscape Communications Corp's communicator software to customers who use Apple's Macintosh operating system. Advantage has been unable to provide a French version of Communicator 4.05 because of a technical problem.
