Article Abstract:
The May 1999 Bulletin Morgan opinion poll reported 37.5% of Australians support Prime Minister John Howard's coalition with the Democrats. Smack and grab
Article Abstract:
Increasing numbers of burglaries in Australia's cities are being committed by drug addicts. More than 90% of burglars use drugs, and some burglars have to steal to support a $5000 a week drug habit. In Sydney it is common to have bars on windows to prevent entry. Criminology professor Arie Freiberg says making heroin legal and free would cause the burglary market to collapse.
