A modest fund has reason to boast
Article Abstract:
Standard Life Canadian Dividend Fund works with the central objective of investing in stocks, which has consistently growing dividends. The C$44.6-million fund, which holds no preferred shares, was the top among performers in its category over the past year. Standard Life has reported a 41.4-percent average compound annual return over two years. The company's success is mainly attributed to its 45.5-percent weighting in finacial companies and its almost 17-percent interest in telephone companies.
