Livent shelves plans for new theatre
Article Abstract:
Livent Inc., a Toronto, Ontario-based production company, is believed to have cancelled plans to build a 1,400-seat theater in downtown Toronto, following an assessment of the economic feasibility of the project by its new owners. The company originally planned to build a complex that would comprise theater, hotel and condominium units at a cost of approximately C$25 million. The development, which was to be named AT&T Centre, was scheduled to be completed in early 2000. However, real estate insiders noted the construction of the four-star Wyndham hotel and the luxury condominiums will be pushed through.
