Love among the Nazis
Article Abstract:
The German film "Aimee and Jaguar" tells the true story of a lesbian couple in wartime Berlin. Lilly Wust, the wife of a Nazi soldier, fell in love with Felice Schragenheim, not knowing Felice was Jewish. The truth about Felice's ethnic background did not end their relationship, but Felice was sent to a concentration camp. The film is a new depiction of Nazi Germany, from a personal, not a documentary, perspective.
