Eleven newcomers have placed their commercials on the SuperBowl, each forking out around $1.6 million for a 30-second spot. The companies said that placing their ads would give them recognition, create instant brand images, reinvent their corporate identity and make them survive the competitive market. Among the newcomers were HotJobs, Monster.com, Just For Feet, Yellows Pages Publisher Association, Victoria's Secret and the World Wrestling Federation.

Gateway logs on as Salt Lake Olympics sponsor
Article Abstract:
Gateway Computer Systems Inc has signed with the Salt Lake Olympic Committe to become a major sponsor for the 2002 Winter Games. The sponsorship of more than $20 million is expected to bolster the image of the Salt Lake Olympic Games, which were recently subjected to a bribery scandal. The games committee remains positive that the sponsorship deal with Gateway will lead to similar deals with other big-name sponsors.
