Michael Ovitz's new company, Artists Management Group, intends to transfer power in Hollywood from agents to managers. With his old company, Creative Artists Agency, Ovitz elevated agents as packagers of new films. Agents' fees are limited to a 10% commission, but managers' are not, although there is legislation in California to limit their fees.
