Napoli ever after: as always, Naples is Italy's most vibrant city - and now it's clean and safe
Article Abstract:
Naples was once a city of high crime and corruption, and low tourism but is now safe and clean due to a reform movement that took place in the 1980s and 90s. Its mayor, Antonio Bassolino, put more police on the streets and cleaned up the city, and the churches and museums are re-opened after years of neglect.
