Nintendo unveils latest gadgets
Article Abstract:
Nintendo unveiled its next-generation console system called the GameCube at the SpaceWorld trade show. The company is marketing the GameCube as a souped-up 'Super Mario' machine as compared to Sony, which is positioning the PlayStation 2 as a home-entertainment center. The GameCube comes with an IBM central processor and runs games recorded on 3-inch DVDs rather than on full-size discs that the PlayStation 2 uses. However, unlike the PlayStation 2, it cannot play music CDs nor movie DVDs.
