Oil plummets despite OPEC cuts: Algerian Energy Minister calls move 'preventative' with inventories rising at 'an unreasonable rate'

Article Abstract:

The OPEC cartel agreed on December 10 2004 to cut production by one million barrels a day in a 'preventive measure' to address concerns about inventory built up. While the traders were not happy with the move, the oil prices went down $1.82 (U.S.) a barrel to $40.71.
