Microsoft Facing Fines In Europe

The European Union insists that Microsoft respond to new antitrust charges by Jan. 25, 2006, or face daily fines of $2.37 million, retroactive to Dec. 15, 2005. Microsoft was ordered to pay over $600 million in fines and share more technical information with its competitors in 2004.
