Canadian golfers renew their love of the game each spring by getting out on the fairways and starting a new season of play. Many people, such as Winston Churchill, have made fun of golf, but the skill and concentration it takes to play the game and the peacefulness of it are very appealing.

Montreal Expos president Claude Brochu is threatening to sell the team unless a new downtown ballpark is built to accomodate the Expos. The team has had trouble keeping players because of low salaries, and fan loyalty has been poor. Premier Lucien Bouchard says public funding is unlikely.
