Passion player
Article Abstract:
Percy Grainger, widely acknowledged as Australia's greatest musical genius of the 20th century, was an eccentric and complex individual, a virtuoso pianist whose sexuality and passion infused both his life and art. He imagined the future of music created by free and random lines of sound, and he prefigured electronic music before it was possible. Unfortunately, most of Grainger's work is not widely known in Australia.
