Former Canadian politician Gerard Pelletier died on Jun 22, 1997, at the age of 78. He entered politics in 1965 and became known as one of the 'Three Wise Men' along with Jean Marchand and Pierre Trudeau. Pelletier also worked as a journalist, labor activist, diplomat and author.
