Japanese Prime Minister Kiichi Miyazawa and his Liberal Democratic Party are losing public support following Miyazawa's refusal to enact campaign finance reform. The parliament issued a vote of no-confidence and the newly formed Shinseito Party will challenge him in the Jul 1993 election.
