In the debate over the Canada-US Free Trade Agreement, Canadian journalists argued that free trade would undermine Canada's health care system since the cost of health care was cheaper in Canada. The argument was a false one since under GATT social policies are not seen as subsidies that distort trade.

A questionable caterwauling

Sexual harassment is wrong, but much of what people say about it is exaggerated or untrue. For example, a study of that reported that 81% of female college students had been subject to some form of sexual abuse was based on definitions of abuse that were fallacious.
