Rock art of ages
Article Abstract:
Some Australian Aboriginal rock paintings may be the oldest human art. Some experts have tentatively dated illustrations of a tapir-like creature and other figures on a rock shelter in Arnhem Land at approximately 40,000 years old. If this estimate is confirmed by scientific analysis, the Aboriginal art will predate the currently earliest known cave paintings in France that are calculated to be 32,000 years old.

Bourke's peerage
Article Abstract:
Anthony (Ace) Richard Ulick Bourke retells the history of ancient Australia between two families and cultures. It dates back to the early days of the colony and begins with the prominent families of King, Bourke, Macarthur, and Mitchell. Although Bourke has never been concerned about the wealth and power of his flesh and blood, the Museum of Sydney has been chosen as the place to tell the story of his past.
