Running out of cash: East Coast fisherman give Ottawa an earful

The program known as TAGS (The Atlantic Groundfish Strategy) provides income assistance to fisherman put out of work by the five-year ban on cod fishing. TAGS is due to run out of money by May 1998, and many fisherman in Atlantic Canada are lobbying to have it extended or get the ban lifted.
