Arvi Parbo arrived in Australia in 1949 by ship from his homeland of Estonia, and worked his way to being chief executive of Western Mining Corporation. In Apr, 1999, he will retire from the firm he has served for 43 years. In addition to being knighted, Parbo was made a Companion of the Order of Australia and has honorary doctorates from 4 universities.

Lleyton Hewitt is Australia's newest tennis star who has impressed many of the game'stop players. He is dedicated and possesses good ball sense, quick reflexes and a desire to win. The only negative point appears to be his relationship with the Australian media.
