Aida Alvarez has been heading the Small Business Administration (SBA) for 2 years, and is the top-ranking Hispanic woman in US government. She has introduced new loan packages for small businesses and has created partnerships with the National Urban League and other groups to help reach out to new customers, especially minorities. She supports affirmative action, but also stresses that white males are welcome at the SBA.

Do computers help children learn?
Article Abstract:
Schools across the US are trying to provide more computer-skills training. but computers in the classroom do not guarantee quality education. Parents need to ask key questions about computers in their children's schools. A pilot study and a statewide computer network in Missouri are discussed.
