The World Conference Against Racism, Racial Discrimination, Xenophobia and Related Intolerance is taking place at the end of August 2001 in Durban, South Africa, and is being convened by the UN high commissioner for human rights, Mary Robinson. Robinson believes that confession, repentance, and sincere remorse lead to healing, and improved human relations.
