Shooting to thrill
Article Abstract:
The Australian netball team is a favorite going into the 1998 Commonwealth Games in Kuala Lumpar, Malaysia. Organizers and fans hope the Commonwealth games will promote the sport and make it a commercial success. However, the Feb 1998 loss to Jamica made the team realize they can lose. If Australia manages to secure a gold medal in the Commonwealth games, netball could see an increase in mainstream media coverage and commercial sponsorship.
