Should the CIA get involved in economic espionage?
Article Abstract:
Experts are divided on whether the CIA should collect economic intelligence. Those in favor of economic surveillance feel that economic strength is necessary to maintain military superiority and other industrialized nations collect industrial intelligence that can be used against American interests. Those against economic espionage feel that while the CIA recognizes the importance of collecting information related to general technological and economic trends in different parts of the world, it should not be involved in specific technological or trade battles between corporations.

Should the CIA be abolished?
Article Abstract:
The future of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) is being questioned by some critics, who claim that the agency was of little benefit during the Cold War and has proven itself untrustworthy. These people also claim that the CIA does not always act with stated foreign policy or the best interest of the country in mind. Defenders of the CIA claim that the agency is needed to monitor a growing number of potential terrorists and to provide information to policy makers who need to make informed choices.
