Sinkers risks being hooked by his own bait
Article Abstract:
Ian Sinclair, 'Sinkers,' has said a great deal about parliamentary practice and procedure in Australia, unlike most new speakers who come to the House of Representatives. He was National Party leader and manager of opposition business in the past. He would be a hypocrite if he did not now put a 3-minute limit on answers in question time, based on what he did in 1986. The terminology used for untruths is another matter he has addressed, and the matter of relevance is the important one in question time.
